Kennesaw State hires new director of marketing

(September 25, 2000) After an extensive search, Kennesaw State University has hired a new director of marketing and design services. Deedie Dowdle is now on the job and has hit the ground running.

"Kennesaw State University is such an exciting environment, poised for so much growth, that I'm delighted to be part of it all," Dowdle said. "I've lived near the university and enjoyed its amenities and vibrancy for years, and have also been impressed with various continuing education courses I've taken."

The position includes establishing and creating a cohesive marketing brand for the university as well as overall university image advertising programs, including translating the results of extensive new marketing research studies into a strategic direction for KSU.

Dowdle has eight years of advertising and public relations account management at well-known agencies in Atlanta. In all, Dowdle brings 16 years of marketing, advertising, promotions, partnership and communications experience from both business and consumer perspectives. Dowdle received her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Alabama with minors in marketing and English literature.
