1/31/02 — KSU welcomes Israeli political scientist to campus

Reuven Hazan, Israeli political scientist, consultant and commentator, will speak at Kennesaw State University on Thursday, Feb. 7, as a guest of the Department of Political Science and International Affairs.

Hazan studied political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and received his doctorate from Columbia University in New York. He has worked on the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Israeli parliament, as a reporter for the Jerusalem Post, as an academic officer with the Israeli Foreign Office and as a political analyst with the Israeli Defense Forces.

Currently Hazan is the advisor to the speaker of the Israeli parliament on reforming its internal structure, serves as a consultant for several of the political parties and works with Israel's top think tanks.

Hazan will speak to KSU's Politics of Developing Areas class.
