State University to hold sixty-fourth commencement 12/5/00
- Kennesaw State University will hold its sixty-fourth commencement honoring more
than 800 graduates and undergraduates. The two separate ceremonies take place
at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18, at the Atlanta Civic Center. Georgia
Secretary of State Cathy Cox will speak at the morning ceremony which recognizes
graduates from the School of the Arts, the Leland and Clarice C. Bagwell College
of Education, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of
Science and Mathematics. Cox is the first woman elected Secretary of State in
Georgia's history and the first female Democrat chosen for statewide office. Thomas
F. Chapman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Equifax Inc.,
will speak at the afternoon commencement. Degrees will be conferred on graduates
of the Michael J. Coles College of Business and the College of Health and Human
Services. A well-respected Atlanta business leader, Chapman's communication and
motivational skills put him in high demand as a speaker. |
