Representatives from Africa to visit area campuses

11/14/00 - Kennesaw State University welcomes members of Overseas Educational Advising (OSEAS) to campus Thursday, Nov. 16. OSEAS representatives from U.S. embassies in Ethiopia, Senegal, Zimbabwe and Tanzania, will be in Georgia for ten days visiting area colleges and universities.

Educational advisors are a primary source of information on all aspects of the U.S. education system. They advise students about institutions, offer testing and provide general information about overseas opportunities. In addition, they act as liaisons between the U.S. educational community and educational and governmental institutions in their home countries.

During their visit the OSEAS representatives will learn what makes Kennesaw State a unique place for international students. One of the attractions for international students at KSU is the International Diplomatic Corps which provides a way for international students to waive the out of state tuition in exchange for volunteer service to KSU and the community. The OSEAS visit is an opportunity to strengthen relations between KSU and the international community with the goal of attracting more international students to the university.

International Education Week is being celebrated nationwide Nov. 13 - 17. Kennesaw State University is proud to participate by offering this and other events.
