Distinguished Leader Lecture Series at Kennesaw State 1/16/01
- Technology entrepreneur Jeffrey D. Hoffman and Jack Guynn, president and CEO
of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, are scheduled to participate in the Tetley
Distinguished Leader Lecture Series at the Michael J. Coles College of Business
at Kennesaw State University. William Hudnut, a fellow at the Urban Land Institute,
also will speak. The Tetley Distinguished Leader Lecture Series brings
CEOs and business leaders to campus from across the country. The lectures are
free and open to the public. All three lectures will take place at 2:00 p.m. in
Room 151 of the Burruss Building on the KSU campus. Jeffrey D. Hoffman,
technology entrepreneur Tuesday, January 23, 2001 Hoffman is a recognized
entrepreneur and innovator in the Internet and software development industries,
as well as an accomplished international speaker on business and technology. Hoffman
has served as a vice president at Worldspan and CEO of Priceline.com's consumer-to-consumer
business, as well as Priceline's parent company Walker Digital. Hoffman is now
CEO and president of Total Media Inc., an entertainment company with holdings
in the film, marketing and interactive media industries. Hoffman also serves as
the CEO of NUAJ Entertainment, an artist and music management company, and as
chairman of eMphasis Inc., an online entertainment marketing company. Jack
Guynn, president and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Tuesday, February 13,
2001 Guynn became the 13th president and CEO of the Federal Reserve
Bank of Atlanta in 1996. He is responsible for all bank activities including monetary
policy and services. He is involved in many professional groups, including the
treasury department's joint task force on the impact of electronic money on consumers.
In addition, he is chairman of the board of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.
William Hudnut, fellow, Urban Land Institute Wednesday, April 4, 2001
(rescheduled from December) William H. Hudnut III is one of the nation's
eminent authorities on cities and a leader in smart growth strategies. Hudnut
is the senior resident fellow at the Urban Land Institute where he is energizing
ULI's mission to promote the responsible use of land and enhance the total environment.
Hudnut, a former congressman and mayor of Indianapolis, is outspoken and often
critical of Atlanta's rapid growth. "For 11 years The Tetley Distinguished
Leader Lecture Series has remained a critical vehicle for introducing our students
to leading thinkers and implementers from across the country," said Coles College
Dean Tim Mescon. |
