9-11 Memorial Photography Exhibition Opening

When:
Thursday, July 24, 2003
7-9 p.m.

Where:
Fine Arts Gallery, Wilson Building, Kennesaw State University

Who:
Sponsored by the American Print Alliance.
Presented by the KSU School of the Arts.

Why:
The Memorial Portfolio exhibition features a group of prints created specifically in memory of the individuals involved in September 11, 2001. It will be exhibited at Kennesaw State through August 5, 2003. Among the hundreds of prints included is one by KSU Assistant Professor of Art Valerie Dibble.

This is the only viewing of the nationally touring exhibition in Georgia.

Alliance director Carol Pulin says, “This exhibition is a way to help us comprehend the loss of so many individual lives. People need to be drawn to certain pictures: some will spend time with those portraying a face, others will find meaning in abstract colors. To convey the sheer number and the individuality of each life is the challenge.”
